about
When i wrote “Heavy”, i wanted it to be a reminder that no matter how different and how diverse we all are, we’re all in this together. Even when you think you are, you’re never really alone, there’s someone somewhere going through the exact same thing. But we all know that, don’t we? We’ve been hearing this all our lives, and rarely do we talk about how heavy the weight of all the trauma and difficult experiences can be. It can weigh you down and that’s okay. We’re all a little insecure and we’re all healing and growing each day.
lyrics
My head is spinning
The devil, grinning
And I, can take no more
My friends, they’re leaving
My scars, they’re bleeding
My heart, has had enough
And I can’t figure out
What the world is all about
Is it just me or is the
Weight too heavy on my shoulders
And the pain’s too heavy to carry
I keep telling myself it gets better, better
But the weight’s too heavy
The weight’s too heavy
Too heavy, heavy
Too heavy, heavy to carry
Too heavy, heavy
But the weight’s too heavy
The weight’s too heavy to carry
I keep holding on
I keep holding on to hope
Hope I feel something
Something I’ve never felt before
I keep chasing love
I keep chasing love
Don’t we keep chasing love
And I can’t figure out
What my heart is all about
I think it’s just me but I feel like the
Weight’s too heavy on my shoulders
And the pain’s too heavy to carry
I keep telling myself it gets better, better
But the weight’s too heavy
The weight’s too heavy
Too heavy, heavy
Too heavy, heavy to carry
Too heavy, heavy
But the weight’s too heavy
The weight’s too heavy to carry
I keep holding on
I keep holding on
I keep holding on
We keep holding on
We keep holding on
We keep holding on
We keep on holding on
Telling myself it gets better, better
But the weight’s too heavy
The weight’s too heavy to carry.
